Responsiblity 'every step of the way'
Sustainable fabrics
RECYCLED Polyester.
"Certified under GRS (Global Recycled Standard), OAKMORE uses only recycled polyester in our products. Recycled polyester possesses many favorable qualities. In addition to being a highly durable fiber with a long lifespan, recycled polyester is also very easy to clean and iron.
Cotton.
OAKMORE uses organic cotton, BCI cotton, and conventional cotton. Cotton is one of the most utilized fibers in textile production, valued for its soft and breathable qualities.
Modal and Lyocell.
OAKMORE uses Modal and Lyocell fibers for ties, scarves, and other accessories. These fibers are of botanical origin and are produced with low environmental impact.
RWS wool (Responsible Wool Standard) is used for scarfs.
The standard requires, that the wool is exclusively sourced from farms that ensure animal welfare. There are strict regulations for feed and requirements for sufficiently large areas, clean stables, sustainable cultivation of grazing meadows, and the conditions of the employees.
Sustainable trims (buttons, labels, and lining)
OAKMORE exclusively uses buttons and labels made of recycled polyester. The lining in our ties is made from a new recycled polyester with a gently brushed texture, imparting 'fullness' while ensuring the tie doesn't wrinkle excessively after being tied.
Sustainable shipping (Weight of shirts/packaging, etc.)
OAKMORE shirts are packed according to an entirely new standard.
The shirts are folded without any needles and with minimal plastic. Only a small piece of FSC cardboard is used to protect the collar during transportation.
That means more shirts can be fitted into each shipping box, and the total weight is significantly less. All of this reduces CO2 emissions substantially.
Sustainable packaging
FSC cardboard (Forest Stewardship Council).
OAKMORE exclusively uses FSC cardboard. Whether it's shipping boxes or other paper components like hangtags, we only use FSC paper.
Bags.
OAKMORE delivers shirts in recycled bags, equipped with a convenient zip closure, allowing the bag to be reused for travel and practical storage.
Bags for accessories are also made from recycled plastic or FSC paper.
