- Fabric: Oxford. 70% BCI cotton, 27% RECYCLED polyester, 3% elastane
- Collar: Classic
- The shirt is produced with a smaller button spacing to ensure that one cannot 'peek through'
Wash:
Unbutton the shirt, turn it inside out. Use the appropriate amount of detergent.
We do not recommend fabric softener.
Set the washing machine to a low spin cycle. Reducing the RPM is more energy-efficient and less taxing on the fabric.
Check the washing instructions on the shirt – and note that it indicates the maximum recommended temperature. How soiled is your laundry? Modern machines effectively clean lightly or moderately soiled clothes at a lower setting, and the lower the temperature, the more energy you save.
Drying:
Gently stretch cuffs, collar, and front placket. Smooth out the shirt with your hands.
Let it dry on a drying rack or hanger. Do not tumble dry: it is a strain on both your shirts and the environment.
Ironing:
Our shirts are very easy to iron. If the shirt is dried as recommended, ironing can be avoided unless the goal is a perfectly smooth shirt.
A damp, freshly washed shirt is perfect for ironing. Any dry shirts can be lightly moistened for a quicker and smoother process – and result.
Begin with the collar, ironing the backside first. Start with the collar tips, moving inward and towards the center. Flip the collar and repeat.
Now it's the front's turn. Be sure to iron around the buttons and give extra attention to the placket.
Sleeves: Here you'll be ironing a double layer of fabric. Take time to ensure the fabric lies completely flat before ironing. Iron from the top down and finish with the cuffs, ironing from the edges inward for a sharp result.
When traveling or pressed for time, you can refresh and smooth your shirt by hanging it on a good hanger in the bathroom while you shower. The steam will help smooth it.
Your body heat will also reduce the wrinkles.
